Soft Cookies with Colored Sprinkles

British style soft cookies made with a very soft dough. After baking and cooling, spread jam on top and sprinkle with colored sprinkles. The cookies are colorful and cute to look at.

Roast almond slices in the oven until golden, then chop them into fine pieces.

Cream together butter and sugar. (Photo #1)

Stir in beaten egg and blend well.

Add flour, almond powder and the chopped almonds. Blend well. (Photo #2)

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap. Place in the refrigerator and let rest for an hour.

Shape the dough into 3cm dome cookies. (Photo #3)

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (356 °F) for 10 - 15 minutes until golden.

After cooling, spread jam on top, then sprinkle with colored sprinkles generously. (Photo #4)
