Swiss style cookies. No need to use a cookie cutter-you can simply shape the cookies with your hands. Be careful not to melt the butter. Just allow it soften at room temperature, cream together with sugar, then mix with the other ingredients.

Add sugar to butter. Rub to combine the two ingredients. (Photo #1).

Add egg yolk and blend.

Add flour and blend, then mix in cocoa powder. Fold in chopped sliced almonds and mix again. (Photo #2)

Press the dough together to form one clump. (Photo #3)

Place in the refrigerator for about half an hour, then roll into 2cm balls.

With your thumb, press the balls into patties. (Photo #4)

Place the patties on a baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (356 °F) for about 12 minutes.
