●Almond Dough

Cream together sugar and butter. (Photo #1)

Mix in egg and almond powder, in that order. (Photo #2)

●Apple Topping

Core, quarter, and slice apple into 2 cm slices.

In a saucepan, melt butter and sugar over heat.

Add apple slices, saute until the sugar turns dark brown and remove from heat.(Photo #1)

Pour the almond dough into tart molds, 3 cm thick, and arrange the apple slices on top. (Photo #1)

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (356 °F) for about 15 minutes.
