Swiss style piped cookies. If a pastry bag is not available, you can use a thick plastic bag by simply cutting off a bottom corner to pipe the batter.

In a bowl, cream together butter and cream cheese. (Photo #1)

Mix in sugar, egg yolk and 5 – 6 drops of vanilla essence.

Fold in flour and mix. (Photo #2)

Place the dough in a pastry bag, or a thick plastic bag with one bottom corner cut off to about 1cm.

Pipe the dough into small rings onto a paper-lined baking tray. (Photo #3)

Bake in a preheated oven at 160 °C (320 °F) for about 8 minutes until golden. (Photo #4)
