DOME CREPES
Dome Crepes

Swiss style dessert. This is a fairly standard crepe batter recipe. To combine vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, melt the ice cream completely before using. Alternatively, you can use softened ice cream and beat it together with whipped cream.

1. In a bowl, mix together milk, eggs, sugar and salt. Blend well.

Add sifted flour and mix until smooth.

Add melted butter and blend. (Photo #1)

Onto a lightly oiled* frying pan or skillet, pour a small amount of the batter. (*Use vegetable oil. This is not included in the ingredients list. )

Swirl the pan around until the batter covers the bottom evenly.

When the crepe is slightly browned, flip it over and let the other side brown for a few seconds. Then remove from the pan and let cool before filling. (Photo #2)

Add sugar to whipping cream. Beat until stiff. (Photo #1)

Beat in the whipped cream to melted ice cream. (Photo #2)

Cover inside of a dome-shaped mold with a crepe. Fill the crepe with the cream. (Photo #3)

Fold the edges of the crepe to cover the filling completely. Freeze until solid. (Photo #4)

Remove from the mold. Place them on a plate and serve. (Photo #5)
