Walnut and Almond Cupcakes

Swiss style cupcakes with a very rich nutty flavor. To enhance the aroma and flavor, you can roast the walnuts in the oven before chopping them.

Sift together flour and almond powder.

Cream together butter and sugar. Blend well. (Photo #1)

Stir in beaten eggs, 1/3 at a time, and blend well.

Add the sifted flour mixture and blend. (Photo #2)

Add chopped walnuts and mix until well combined. (Photo #3)

Transfer the dough into cake cups and sprinkle with sliced almonds generously on top. (Photo #4)

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (356 °F) for about 15 to 18 minutes until golden.
