French style chocolate cake. ¡ÈTranche chocolat¡É means a ¡Èslice of chocolate cake¡É in French. Making the batter is easy --- all you need to do is simply add and mix the ingredients in order, using a spatula. It¡Çs light and not too sweet.

Break chocolate into small pieces. Put them in a bowl and melt over a low heat.

Add butter and sugar, then blend well with a spatula.

Stir in whole eggs and mix. (Photo #1)

Add flour and hand-crushed almond slices. Blend well. (Photo #2)

Transfer the batter into a 20cm X 20cm baking tray or a square pan.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ¡ëC (356 ¡ëF) for about 40 minutes. If the surface turns brown but the center is still not done, cover with foil and continue baking. (Photo #3)
