 Separate eggs.
 
  
Beat the egg whites until stiff. (Photo #1)
 
  
Melt chopped chocolate over low heat or by double boiling.
 
  
Sift together flour, cocoa powder and almond powder.
 
  
In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar. (Photo #2)
 
  
Stir in the melted chocolate to the butter mixture and blend.
 
  
Stir in egg yolks, then the flour mixture. Blend well. (Photo #3)
 
  
Add the beaten egg whites and blend well.
 
  
Transfer the batter into small baking cups. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (356 °F) for about 15 minutes. (The time varies depending on the size of the cups.) If desired, sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar after cooling.
