Swiss style chocolate cookie bars. For St. Valentine’s Day, you can make them in different shapes such as heart or animal shapes.

Sift together flour and cocoa powder.

Cream together butter and sugar. Blend well. (Photo #1)

Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until well combined. Press the dough together as in the photo. (Photo #2)

Shape the dough into thin bars, about 1cm in diameter and 5cm long. (Photo #3)

Place the bars on a baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (356 °F) for about 10 minutes. (Photo #4)

After cooling, sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar generously.
